MAKING A TRICK DIE ACTIVITY OVERVIEW In this activity you will need to log in to your Tinkercad account. Once there, Click on the “Learn” Link at the top right of the website. Then choose “Projects” and scroll down (you might need to click “See All Projects”) until you see “Making Everyday Objects: Part One.” Complete tutorial 2 for making a trick die. (Your login should be your school user name and your lunch number + first and last initials.)
YOUR GOAL This activity will help you keep your CAD skills fresh and take them to the next level as you create a die (single for dice) that lands on the number you want.

INTRO TO JAVASCRIPT ACTIVITY OVERVIEW In this activity you will learn the basics of JavaScript using Tynker. You will need to follow the following instructions to create a Tynker account and join our class. It's super easy! Step 1: Go to Tynker.com Step 2: Choose "Start for free" and Select "Student" Step 3: DO NOT create a username/password instead click on the Windows logo beside "Or, join with:" Step 4: Sign in to Microsoft Office (if you aren’t already signed in) and accept permissions Step: 5: When asked to join a class, enter the code: 20015151
Click "My Classes" on the left and you should see the Programming 300 lesson. Click on it and choose "Intro to JavaScript"
YOUR GOAL This activity will introduce to the basic syntax of JavaScript - a common coding language used in many applications.

CARDBOARD ROVER ACTIVITY OVERVIEW In this activity you will use THIS TUTORIAL to create a rubber band powered cardboard rover and learn about the way NASA creates its exploration vehicles. Don't worry about having all the exact materials. Just substitute anything you like and make it your own.
YOUR GOAL This activity will let you investigate the way that NASA approaches rover design and the qualities it needs in a rover. Try to make your rover unique to you.
REQUIRED EVIDENCE Just email me [[email protected]] a pic of your rover or, even better, a video of it in action when you are done. If you are completing three of the activities, try to email me the evidence for all three at one time.
STEM Challenge
Every Monday, I will announce a new STEM Challenge. Challenge project should be submitted by the end of the week. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
TV COMMERCIAL This week, you are challenged to grab a partner or two (to work with virtually) and create a commercial for a household product you think everyone should have. It can be a real or made-up product. Videos should be exactly 30 seconds long - just like a real commercial. There are lots of free video editors out there (PC: movie maker, Mac/iPhone: iMovie or Clips, etc.). Get creative and show off your editing skills. When you are done, email me the video by the end of the week. Be safe Have fun
